THOR personnel have experience working with high-profile individuals such as former President Bill Clinton and Pope John Paul II.
In addition to executive security, THOR personnel are certified in the areas of Quick Reaction Force and Security Detail. Two Reasons to Travel Abroad
George Manos serves as the president and CEO of THOR Executive Security Teams, a company headquartered in New York City. As a global traveler from a young age, George Manos gained appreciation for the benefits of traveling across the world and experiencing different cultures.
When you travel to another country, you gain perspective into other ways of doing things and looking at life. This experience will benefit you in numerous ways on a conscious and subconscious level as it challenges your thinking mind and your physical brain with two important results:
1. Broadening Your Mind
By experiencing different ways of approaching life, you open your mind to new ways of seeing the world. Studies show that travel abroad can increase neuroplasticity, increasing neural pathways and stimulating increased firing of synapses. This can develop increased creativity skills in your brain as well.
2. Increasing Your Confidence
Psychological research indicates that overcoming challenges and stepping a little outside your comfort zone can improve confidence. Traveling abroad certainly offers plenty of difficulties to overcome and you can often see clear results. Study-abroad students, for example, report increased levels of confidence. They also find employment at a much higher rate than their peers.

Three of the Most Challenging Ski Slopes in Jackson Hole
George Manos, co-owner and CEO of THOR Executive Security Teams, founded in 2005, is an avid skier. Favoring ski resorts in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and in Keystone, Colorado, George Manos is no stranger to black diamond ski runs.
Three of the most challenging ski runs in Jackson Hole are as follows:
1. Exhibition Run on Snow King Mountain
This mountain is said to have the steepest ski slope of any hill in North America. Its double-black diamond Exhibition Run is long, steep, often icy, and viewable by nearly the whole town below. Wiping out won’t be a secret.
2. Corbet’s Couloir at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort
To begin this hill, skiers have to perform an air entrance and then quickly dodge a rock wall before sailing down hundreds of feet on a 40 degree slope.
3. S&S Couloir at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort
Named after local ski legends John Simms and Charlie Sands, this slope is only open to people who clear their entry with the ski patrol and sign a special waiver. The drop in is around 40 feet and rock walls are abundant.
